Netflix and Books Tag

There are so many TV programs I love, and even more that are on my to-watch list, however I don’t actually have Netflix myself. Still I figured you don’t need to have Netflix to take part in this tag! I was tagged by Reg at She Latitude. Thanks so much for the tag Reg, I had a lot of fun answering these questions and I hope you enjoyed reading them as much. Everyone should definitely check out Reg’s original post and her blog as well while you’re there. Reg is such an amazing person, and she writes some brilliant reviews, among other posts.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Enjoyed with Less Than 2000 Ratings on Goodreads

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books I Enjoyed with Less Than 2000 Ratings on Goodreads.

Is 2000 a lot of ratings for a book on Goodreads? I didn’t think so and when I first saw this topic on The Broke and the Bookish website I didn’t think I’d be able to come up with five, let alone ten, books that I’d read and enjoyed with under 2000 ratings. So when I went on Goodreads, looked through my ‘Read’ list from both before and after I started blogging, I was surprised to find that I’d read a lot more books than I first assumed with less than 2000 ratings.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Favourite Book BFF’s

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. It was a free pick this week so I chose a Top Ten Tuesday topic from a long while ago; Top Ten Book BFF’s.

The first group of friends I remember reading and falling in love with was Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. I followed their adventures through the seven years they attended Hogwarts and fought off Lord Voldemort and his followers. Ever since then I’ve loved reading any kind of close friendship between two characters, so for this week’s free pick I decided to feature some of my favourite BFF’s from recent books I’ve read.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books Every … Should Read

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books Every … Should Read.

Mythology Fan.

It took me a while to come up with my picks for this week. My first thought was fantasy, but I feel like I’ve kind of done that already a few weeks ago, my second thought was fairytale retellings, which I love but once again I’ve already done as a Top Ten Tuesday theme. Then I finally hit on mythology books. I love reading any I can get my hands on, they’re like another version of fairytales which I adore. I will read any I can find; books inspired by Greek and Egyptian mythology, books about gods and angels.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Best Books I Read In 2015

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Best Books I Read In 2015.

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday was definitely the hardest for me. I have read so many amazing books that I have truly loved this year that picking only ten was a real challenge. Some of my favourite series have ended on a real high note, Winter from the Lunar Chronicles, I have started new series which I cannot wait to continue, The Mine Order from the Bone Season series, and I have read some stand-alone novels which exceeded my highest expectations, Rainbow Rowell’s Carry On. Eventually I managed to narrow down my list but it was a close call on some of them.

Top Ten Tuesday: New-To-Me Favourite Authors I Read For the First Time In 2015

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is New-To-Me Favourite Authors I Read For the First Time In 2015.

I read a lot of books each year, at the moment it’s just over 200, and while a lot of them are from authors I already know and love there are a few new authors that stood out for me. With so many of my favourite series coming to an end this year (The Lunar Chronicles, Penryn and the End of Days, Splintered) I need new books, new authors and new series to obsess over.
