Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten of the Best Books I’ve Read So Far in 2017

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten of the Best Books I’ve Read So Far in 2017.

This week’s topic was hard, really really hard. There have been so many amazing books released this year that I loved that originally I had twenty books on this list. I managed to narrow it down to ten but I had to make some hard cuts, and one of those was deciding not to include re-reads. These are the best books I’ve read so far this year, but there are a lot more I’ve read that I loved, and a lot more still to be released and read this year that I will likely love just as much.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Series I’ve Been Meaning to Start but Haven’t Yet

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Series I’ve Been Meaning to Start but Haven’t Yet.

No matter how hard I try, or how many books I read, I can never seem to make a dent in my TBR list. So it’s no surprise there are tons of series I’ve yet to get around to, even more than the ten I featured for this week’s theme. Hopefully, at the very least, I’ll be able to start these series soon because they’re all ones I want to read before this year is up.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Father/Child Relationships in YA Books

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is a Father’s Day related freebie, so I picked Top Ten Father/Child Relationships in YA Books.

A little while ago there was a Mother’s Day themed free-for-all and I did Top Ten Mother/Child Relationships in YA Books, so I figured now it was time to feature the best father’s in YA books. Again not all of the father/child relationships I featured this week are happy, loving and perfect, but they were all amazingly written.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Added to my TBR List Last Year; Five I Will be Reading and Five I Won’t be Reading

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books from X Genre That I’ve Recently Added to my TBR List.

I gave this week’s theme a little bit of a twist, and instead I went for Top Ten Books I Added to my TBR List Last Year; Five I Will be Reading and Five I Won’t be Reading. I’ll admit I’m terrible when it comes to keeping track of the books on my to-read list. Then again that’s what comes of having quarter of my TBR list on one Goodreads account, quarter on another Goodreads account, and half in my head.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Most Anticipated Books for the Second Half of 2017.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Most Anticipated Books for the Second Half of 2017.

There were so many amazing, and highly anticipated, books released during the first half of 2017 that I focused too much on those and haven’t paid a lot of attention to what’s being released throughout the second half of the year. Unsurprisingly there are a lot of books, again highly anticipated, being released throughout the second half of the year.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books on My Summer TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is a summer reads freebie, so I picked Top Ten Books on My Summer TBR List.

Once summer comes around I start reading the contemporaries on my TBR list. After all there’s nothing better than sitting on the beach or in my garden, the sun shining, with a good book filled with great characters, fluffy romances, and travel all over the world. There are so many YA contemporaries on my to-read list, and even more being released it was hard to choose just ten.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Mother/Child Relationships in YA Books

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is a Mother’s Day related freebie, so I picked Top Ten Mother/Child Relationships in YA Books.

I love seeing strong familial relationships in books, unfortunately in fantasy stories that’s an aspect that seems to be missing. I guess it’s hard to risk your life saving the world when you have a loving family at home worrying for you. Not all of the mother/child relationships I featured this week are happy, loving and perfect, but they were all amazingly written.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Fairytales I’d Love to See Retold More

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Things on my Reading Wishlist.

I gave this week’s theme a little bit of a twist, and instead of Top Ten Things on my Reading Wishlist I went for Top Ten Fairytales I’d Love to See Retold More. I am a huge fan of fairytale retellings, but I’ve noticed it seems to be the most popular ones that are retold over and over again, there are so many I’d love to see given the same treatment and this gives me a chance to showcase them.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Five Cover Changes I Loved and Top Five Cover Changes I Didn’t Like

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is a cover theme freebie, so I picked Top Five Cover Changes I Loved and Top Five Cover Changes I Didn’t Like.

Everyone has an opinion on cover changes, and no matter whether you love the new design or prefer the old one everyone (likely) agrees that there is nothing more annoying than when a series changes covers halfway through. For this week’s free cover themed pick I thought it was the perfect time to talk about some of the best and worst (in my opinion) cover changes, all halfway through a series.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Things that Will Make me Instantly Not Want to Read a Book

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Things that Will Make me Instantly Not Want to Read a Book.

For last week’s Top Ten Tuesday post I talked about what things instantly make me add books to my to-read list, so it makes sense that this week’s topic is the opposite. You may notice a lot of these are the same, because if there is a cover design I love that makes me want to pick up a book ASAP you can believe there have been cover designs that have done the opposite and put me off books.
