Top Ten Inspirational/Thought-Provoking Book Quotes

When it comes to my ‘favourite’ book quotes I have a lot. Some I love because they never fail to bring a smile to my face, others because they’re cute and romantic, and others because they’ve stayed with me no matter how many other books I’ve read since. The ten I picked for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic are all from that last category – quotes that have meant something to me from books I haven’t been able to forget.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Loved with Fewer than 4000 Ratings on Goodreads

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature that was created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Born from a love of lists and a love of books each week there’s a new topic for bloggers to list their ‘top ten’.

Top Ten Books I Loved with Fewer than 2000 4000 Ratings on Goodreads

Now I know the original prompt for this week was books with ‘fewer than 2000 ratings on Goodreads’, but I had to tweak it slightly. Looking through my Goodreads read list I was surprised by a couple of books which were incredible reads, and which people had been hyping up in the blogosphere (how do you think I discovered some of them), that only had circa 3000 ratings. These are all books I really enjoyed, and books I think deserve a lot more attention than they already have.

So add them to your TBR list if you haven’t already.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2018

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2018.

Every year when it comes to this Top Ten Tuesday topic I always find myself doubting I’ll be able to come up with ten new-to-me authors to feature; because of many series I love, favourite authors I keep going back, and old books I just have to re-read I don’t dedicate enough time to discovering new authors out there. Maybe it’ll end up being one of my resolutions for this year, to make a conscious effort to discover more new authors.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Hidden Gems

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Hidden Gems.

As someone who all too often gets swept away by the hype when it comes to popular and highly anticipated releases this isn’t the best topic for me, but looking through my Goodreads read list I discovered I have read a few books which I’m surprised aren’t more popular than they are. In my opinion these are all amazing books, books I’d eagerly recommend (and in some cases have recommended to so many people already).

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Learnt Something From

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is a back to school/learning freebie, so I picked Top Ten Books I Learnt Something From.

It took me a while to come up with this back to school/learning freebie topic mostly because when it comes to the books I read most of them are fantasy stories; stories which keep me on the edge of my seat but which offer an escape from the real world. When they’re over that’s it, but every so often there’s a book I pick up which stays with me long after I’ve closed the last page and makes me want to learn more about the topics it’s discussed, and those are the books I’ve featured on this list.

Courts of Prythian Book Tag

I was tagged in the Court of Prythian Book Tag when A Court of War and Ruin was released, and it’s taken me so long to get around to it that in the meantime Sarah J. Maas has written and released A Court of Frost and Starlight. Given I will be posting my review of the latter tomorrow I figured now was the perfect time to take part in this tag.

I was tagged by Chelle at Chelle’s Book Ramblings. Thanks for the tag Chelle, I had a lot of fun answering the questions for this one so I hope you enjoy reading my answers just as much.
