Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books that have been on my TBR the Longest and I Still Haven’t Read

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books that have been on my TBR the Longest and I Still Haven’t Read.

I almost feel like having an unmanageable TBR list is part of being a blogger. There are so many incredible books out there to discover that I just have to add them to my to-read list, and I have good intentions, honestly. I add books to my TBR list, say I’m going to get around to them soon, but for some reason just never do. Most of the books I picked this week I will get around to one day, but unfortunately I can’t say when that ‘one day’ will be.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Read and Loved While at High School/Uni

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is a throwback freebie, so I picked Top Ten Books I Read and Loved While at High School/Uni.

It was in high school, after reading Twilight, that I rediscovered my love of reading and grabbed all the young adult books I could get my hands on. Since then my reading tastes have changed a lot and some books I read back then, like Twilight, I know I wouldn’t enjoy as much if I picked them up again today. My picks for this week are all books I read while I was in high school or university, that I enjoyed but haven’t re-read since.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten 2016 Releases I Meant to Read but Didn’t Get to (but Totally Plan to)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten 2016 Releases I Meant to Read but Didn’t Get to (but Totally Plan to).

I got through some amazing books in 2016, there were a lot of new favourites I could have picked from for my top read of 2016, but even more than that there were so many books I meant to but didn’t get around to released last year. I’d like to say I’ll get around to most of the books on this list at some point during 2017 but then again there are books on my to-read list from 2015 and before then so really who knows when I’ll pick these books up.

Netflix and Books Tag

There are so many TV programs I love, and even more that are on my to-watch list, however I don’t actually have Netflix myself. Still I figured you don’t need to have Netflix to take part in this tag! I was tagged by Reg at She Latitude. Thanks so much for the tag Reg, I had a lot of fun answering these questions and I hope you enjoyed reading them as much. Everyone should definitely check out Reg’s original post and her blog as well while you’re there. Reg is such an amazing person, and she writes some brilliant reviews, among other posts.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Loved Set in School

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is a Back to School freebie, so I picked Top Ten Books I Loved Set in School.

Most of the ones that made it onto my list this week are YA contemporary books, just because most of them are set in high school. However there are a few fantasy books that, while they’re not technically set in a standard high school, they are set in some form of school, and as they’re favourites of mine of course they were going to make it on my list for this week.

You also may notice that, in spite of my topic pick for this week, I haven’t included Harry Potter. Mainly because it’s such a standard answer, and I wanted to include other books that I love. By now everyone should know how much I love Harry Potter.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I’d Buy Right This Second if Someone Handed Me a Fully Loaded Gift Card

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books I’d Buy Right This Second if Someone Handed Me a Fully Loaded Gift Card.

Honestly this week’s list is pretty much just my list of books on my to-buy list and all of these I will be buying soon whether I have a gift card or not. However after July and August and YALC I’ve had to put myself on a book buying ban so it will be a while before most of these are in my basket on Amazon ready to be ordered.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Enjoyed Set Outside the US

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books I Enjoyed Set Outside the US.

I read a lot of fantasy books so the topic for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday was an easy one for me. While most of my favourite books are set in completely made up places, Ravka and Ketterdam (The Grisha Trilogy and Six of Crows) and Godsgrave (Nevernight) among others, for this week’s topic I wanted to stick to books that were set in cities that actually exist in our world; although some are more inspired by those cities than strictly set in them.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books To Read If You Are In The Mood For…

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books To Read If You Are In The Mood For…

Far Away and Fantastical Locations.

I love fantasy books, and there is nothing more I would love than to be able to travel to so many of the places that are described in so many of my favourite books. And honestly, who wouldn’t want to go to Hogwarts, I’m still upset over the fact that I never received my letter when I turned 11. So for this week’s Top Ten theme, books to read if you are in the mood for X, I chose Far Away and Fantastical Locations; and ten of my favourite books set in places I would kill to be able to travel to.
