Title: The Hazel Wood
Author: Melissa Albert
Release Date: February 8th 2018
Seventeen-year-old Alice and her mother have spent most of Alice’s life on the road, always a step ahead of the strange bad luck biting at their heels. But when Alice’s grandmother, the reclusive author of a book of pitch-dark fairy tales, dies alone on her estate – the Hazel Wood – Alice learns how bad her luck can really get. Her mother is stolen away—by a figure who claims to come from the cruel supernatural world where her grandmother’s stories are set. Alice’s only lead is the message her mother left behind: STAY AWAY FROM THE HAZEL WOOD.
To retrieve her mother, Alice must venture first to the Hazel Wood, then into the world where her grandmother’s tales began…

Although I was tagged at the end of 2016 it hasn’t taken me a year to get around to the Christmas Cuisine Book Tag because there are so many tags in my queue, but because by the time I reached this one it was August. It makes zero sense to post a Christmas tag in August, so I’ve had to wait until December to take part in this one. I was tagged by Kirstie at Upside-Down Books. Thanks so much for the tag Kirstie, I had a lot of fun with this one so I hope you enjoy reading my answers just as much.
- Thank the person who tagged you with a virtual hug and happy thoughts (and pixie dust if you can find it.)
- Mention the creator (Kirstie at Upside-Down Books)
- Try to eat as many of the foods as you can whilst writing this.
- Wear funky socks.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books on my Winter TBR List.
