The Fall Time, Cosy Time Book Tag

You know how it goes, you wait ages for a bus and suddenly three come along at once. It seems to have been the same this month with fall-inspired book tags. Not that I’m complaining; I love both book tags and the fall. I was tagged by Alex at Whimsy Pages. Thanks so much for the tag Alex, I had a lot of fun with this one so I hope you enjoy reading my answers just as much.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books that Make Me Want to Bake

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Yummy Foods Mentioned in Books.

I adapted the theme a little this week. Instead of talking about books that feature yummy foods, I’m going to talk about the books I’ve read that make me want to bake.

Baking is one of my favourite things to do. A year and a half ago it seemed like I was baking all the time; I’d make gingerbread men and sugar cookies, a variety of cupcakes and muffins, cheesecakes and birthday cakes. Granted baking has fallen in the wayside a little as blogging takes up most of my time, but when I read books that feature the most mouth-watering descriptions of food I really want to try my hand at baking them so I can taste the food I’m reading about for myself.

Rainbow Book Tag

Pretty book covers are always going to be a weakness of mine, which I feel most people are well aware of now. The phase ‘never judge a book by its cover’ has never really applied to me and I’ve only discovered a few favourite books of mine after seeing how pretty the cover was. I was tagged by Jacquie at Rattle the Stars. Thanks so much for the tag Jacquie, I had a lot of fun with this one so I hope you enjoy reading my answers just as much.

Rainbow Book Tag

Rules:

  • It must be the dominant colour of the cover not the spine!
  • If you do not own a book of a certain colour, just choose one that has the colour on it somewhere.
  • It has to be a book you own and/or has to be the exact edition you read (e.g. there are two different covers for Me Before You, you would choose the one you read).
  • Tag some people to do it! Whether they be Bloggers, Bookstagrammers or BookTubers.

The Pokémon Go Tag

We’ll just pretend that the Pokémon Go craze isn’t over and that I’m not six or seven months late posting this tag.

Even when it was in its height I never got into Pokémon Go although two of my friends were obsessed with the game, and one of them still is. I guess when you nearly get into a car accident because of someone else playing the game when they should be focusing on the road it kind of loses its appeal for you. I was tagged by Grace at Kimmie.gg. Thanks so much for the tag Grace, I had a lot of fun answering these questions and I hope you enjoyed reading my answers as much.

  • Other than mentioning the creator of the tag, Aentee at Read at Midnight, there are none. Just have fun and feel free to use Aentee’s images.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books You’ll Stay up All Night Reading so You Can Finish Them in One Go

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is a read in one sitting freebie, so I picked Top Ten Books You’ll Stay up All Night Reading so You Can Finish Them in One Go.

My blog’s name is Reading Every Night so I guess this felt like an appropriate pick for this week’s themed free-for-all. Besides we’ve all had those books we just couldn’t put down. You keep telling yourself it’ll be ‘just one more chapter’ but before you know it it’s four in the morning, you’ve finished your book, and haven’t been to sleep yet despite needing to get up for work in two hours.

When her village is evacuated as part of the war against the Sleeping Prince, Errin is left desperate and homeless. The only person she can turn to is the mysterious Silas, a young man who buys deadly poisons from Errin, but won’t reveal why he needs them. Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I’d Buy Right This Second if Someone Handed Me a Fully Loaded Gift Card

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books I’d Buy Right This Second if Someone Handed Me a Fully Loaded Gift Card.

Honestly this week’s list is pretty much just my list of books on my to-buy list and all of these I will be buying soon whether I have a gift card or not. However after July and August and YALC I’ve had to put myself on a book buying ban so it will be a while before most of these are in my basket on Amazon ready to be ordered.
