Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books that I Refuse to Let Anyone Borrow

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature that was created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Born from a love of lists and a love of books each week there’s a new topic for bloggers to list their ‘top ten’.

Top Ten Books that I Refuse to Let Anyone Borrow

When I was in high school me and my friends always used to share our books, but now not so much. Now I don’t lend my books, and not because there’s no one I can trust with them just because of my friends and family I’m the only big reader. No one asks to borrow my books anymore but even if that all changed tomorrow the ten I’ve listed this week are books I will never part with, no matter how much I may trust whoever would be asking for them.

The Sunshine Blogger Award Part Two

I have some more nominations for the Sunshine Blogger Award sitting in my tags queue so it’s about time I got around to answering a few more of them. If you want to learn more about my general opinions on the worst books I’ve read, or the worst book-to-film adaptations I’ve seen, or get some recommendations for bookish blogs to check out then this is the post for you.

The Sunshine Blogger Award

I was tagged by The Readers Bay and Destiny at Howling Libraries. Thank you both so much for your nominations, I had a lot of fun answering the questions you set and I hope you enjoy reading my answers.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Bookish Settings I’d Love to Visit

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Bookish Settings I’d Love to Visit.

This, more than any other topic The Broke and the Bookish have ever done, was made for me. I read fantasy for the world building; for the incredible and fantastical worlds that I can only explore through the writing. If there is one thing I wish more than anything else it’s that I had the power to visit bookish worlds because there are so many places I’d love to visit. Until that becomes a reality, I’ll settle for reading about them.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I’m Thankful For

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books I’m Thankful For.

When it comes down to it there are plenty of books I’m thankful for, in fact you could say I’m thankful for every book out there because I love reading, but the ones below are the ones that have the most fond memories attached to them. Some of them are likely cliché picks for this topic, and most of them are books I haven’t stopped talking about since I started blogging, but I feel that’s almost expected.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books that Make Me Want to Bake

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Yummy Foods Mentioned in Books.

I adapted the theme a little this week. Instead of talking about books that feature yummy foods, I’m going to talk about the books I’ve read that make me want to bake.

Baking is one of my favourite things to do. A year and a half ago it seemed like I was baking all the time; I’d make gingerbread men and sugar cookies, a variety of cupcakes and muffins, cheesecakes and birthday cakes. Granted baking has fallen in the wayside a little as blogging takes up most of my time, but when I read books that feature the most mouth-watering descriptions of food I really want to try my hand at baking them so I can taste the food I’m reading about for myself.

Discussion Time: Reasons I’m Thankful I Started, and Love, Reading

The very first book I can remember picking up and reading was Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Before that my parents would read fairytales to me, and after it was the Twilight series. It was the fairytales that inspired my love of magic and happily ever afters’, Twilight that inspired my love of YA fiction, and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone that inspired my overall love of reading.

Ever since I was a child there’s been so much I’ve loved about picking up a new book and diving into a new story. It’s why I’m still reading now twenty years after the first Harry Potter book was released. I have friends, and even family members, who rarely read. They pick up maybe one or two books a year, and I wonder how?!

The Narnia Book Tag

I loved The Narnia Chronicles when I was younger, after the Harry Potter books it was the second series I fell in love with as a child and the second series that got me hooked on reading, so a Narnia tag is just perfect beyond words for me. I was tagged by Diana at Diana Prince Reviews and Sammie at Bookshelves & Biros. Thanks so much both of you for the tag, I had a lot of fun with this one so I hope you enjoy reading my answers just as much.

The Sunshine Blogger Award Part One

Between the last time I published a post for this award and now, I was nominated by nine bloggers. Rather than creating one massive post of nearly one hundred questions I’ve split this into three parts. If you nominated me for this award before the end of March and don’t see your questions here they’ll be in part two or three which will be published soon, but at a later date. I was tagged by Lost in Pages, Annike and Zoë at Twin Tales, and Sunshine and Cyclones. Thanks so much for the tag everyone, I had a lot of fun with this one so I hope you enjoy reading my answers just as much.

The Pokémon Go Tag

We’ll just pretend that the Pokémon Go craze isn’t over and that I’m not six or seven months late posting this tag.

Even when it was in its height I never got into Pokémon Go although two of my friends were obsessed with the game, and one of them still is. I guess when you nearly get into a car accident because of someone else playing the game when they should be focusing on the road it kind of loses its appeal for you. I was tagged by Grace at Kimmie.gg. Thanks so much for the tag Grace, I had a lot of fun answering these questions and I hope you enjoyed reading my answers as much.
