Top Ten Books on My Spring 2019 TBR List

This week’s theme is actually Top Ten Things that Make me Pick up a Book, but I struggled to come up with more than four things – the blurb, cover, author and recommendations from friends – so I decided to go back to a topic I missed from a few weeks back. I don’t normally do well when it comes to setting TBR lists but this time I’ve tried featuring books I know I’ll read sometime in the next three months, but I guess when June ends we’ll see how I actually did.

Top Ten Characters I’d Like to Switch Places With

For me this list could very easily be top twenty, or even top one hundred, characters I’d like to switch places with. I read a lot of fantasy books, and sometimes there are worlds I just want to be able to fall into the way I do the stories I read; after all who hasn’t finished Harry Potter and immediately wished for their own letter from Hogwarts. Still I managed to keep my list to ten this week, and no I didn’t include Harry Potter/Hogwarts because I feel that’s kind of a given.

The Great British Bake Off Book Tag

Next week is the final of The Great British Bake Off. I only started watching this show last year but now I’m hooked, and of course it seemed like the perfect time to take part in this tag (although if I was really organised I would have posted it back when the first episode aired. When the Pingback for this tag first appeared in my notifications I thought it was a strange and possibly passive aggressive insult, then I realised it was a tag and had to laugh at how ridiculous I was being. Mid Year Freak Out Tag

The name of a tag has never felt more appropriate before, because it is the middle of the year and I’m freaking out. Where has the first half of 2018 gone? Does anyone know because I feel like not long ago I was writing my post wrapping up 2017. Before I know it I’ll be preparing my post to wrap up 2018. I was tagged by The Orangutan Librarian. The New Disney Princess Tag

Funnily enough my favourite Disney films don’t even have princess in them (The Fox and the Hound and Alice in Wonderland in case anyone was curious). So it turns out I don’t have enough characters I liked in books I disliked to make a top ten list, in fact I don’t think I have enough books I disliked full stop.
