Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Favourite Books in my Favourite Colour

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books with my Favourite Colour on the Cover.

There are a lot of books that have my favourite colour on the cover. The ones I picked for this week’s theme have just been selected from the books I own, there are plenty more out there I’ve yet to read or that have yet to be released, so I changed the topic to Top Ten Favourite Books in my Favourite Colour.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I’m Looking Forward to in 2018

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books I’m Looking Forward to in 2018.

When it comes down to it there are so many books I can’t wait for, and plenty of them I couldn’t feature because they don’t have titles or covers or blurbs yet; The Muse of Nightmares, the second Warcross book, the third Nevernight book. It’s looking like 2018 is going to be a great year for book releases, the only issue I’ll have is finding the time to read them all.

The Valentine’s Day Book Tag

So even though Valentine’s Day is over now I thought there was still just enough time for me to post this tag. It’s jumped a little ahead in my queue simply because if I tried to get through all the others first I’d end up getting around to this one June/July time, better a few days late than a few months right?

I’ll admit I’m not a massive fan of Valentine’s Day, for me it was pretty much just another Tuesday, but I hope everyone else had a wonderful day with your respective partners and if you’re single like me then I hope you had a brilliant day in general. I was tagged by Heather at The Sassy Book Geek. Thanks so much for the tag Heather, I had a lot of fun with this one and I hope you enjoyed reading it as much.

Four Stars

This is not about blood or love. This is about treason.

Nearly a year has passed since Amani and the rebels won their epic battle at Fahali. Amani has come into both her powers and her reputation as the Blue-Eyed Bandit, and the Rebel Prince’s message has spread across the desert—and some might say out of control. But when a surprise encounter turns into a brutal kidnapping, Amani finds herself betrayed in the cruellest manner possible.

Stripped of her powers and her identity, and torn from the man she loves, Amani must return to her desert-girl’s instinct for survival. For the Sultan’s palace is a dangerous one, and the harem is a viper’s nest of suspicion, fear and intrigue. Just the right place for a spy to thrive…But spying is a dangerous game, and when ghosts from Amani’s past emerge to haunt her, she begins to wonder if she can trust her own treacherous heart.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read for the First Time in 2016

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read for the First Time in 2016.

I’ve said time and time before that I’m shocked how quickly this year has gone, but looking back some of the books I read seemed like something I picked up last year at least. How was it only March that I started reading Sarah J Maas’s work, and was it seriously June that I started Wolf by Wolf? I was honestly surprised by some of the books I read this year because it feels like I’ve loved them, and the authors who wrote them, forever.

Book Scavenger Hunt Tag

This was such a fun tag to be able to complete. I’ve actually taken part in some scavenger hunts but never a bookshelf one so this was a unique experience for me. I wasn’t sure if I’d have any books that fit all the categories, and yes I did end up ‘cheating’ a little on one, but for the most part once I started looking I found a few I could have picked for each.

I was tagged by Izzi at Ravenclaw Book Club and Lauren at Wonderless Reviews. Thank you both so much for the tag; everyone else should definitely check out Izzi’s and Lauren’s original posts and while you’re there check out their blogs as well, you won’t regret it.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books Every … Should Read

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books Every … Should Read.

Mythology Fan.

It took me a while to come up with my picks for this week. My first thought was fantasy, but I feel like I’ve kind of done that already a few weeks ago, my second thought was fairytale retellings, which I love but once again I’ve already done as a Top Ten Tuesday theme. Then I finally hit on mythology books. I love reading any I can get my hands on, they’re like another version of fairytales which I adore. I will read any I can find; books inspired by Greek and Egyptian mythology, books about gods and angels.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten of My Most Recent Five Star Reads

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten of My Most Recent Five Star Reads.

I’ve already read so many amazing books this year, I even have two that are contending for my top read of 2016. Most of them are completely new series and/or authors whom I only discovered this year since starting my blog. I’ve added a lot of books to my to-read list since joining WordPress and some of my favourite series I only picked up because of the reviews I saw on various blogs I follow.
