About Me

Welcome to Reading Every Night; a blog that I created so I’d have more people to talk with about my favourite books and that has become a major part of my life now.

The Blogger

Profile PicMy name is Beth (short for Bethany, but no one really calls me that). I was born in England, raised in England and am currently living in, you guessed it, England.

I am a big reader, which is probably obvious given the topic of my blog, and have been ever since I was given the first Harry Potter book by my parents shortly after its release. When it comes to books I’ll pick up anything that catches my eye, be it because of the cover or the blurb, but the majority of books I read are from the young adult fantasy and contemporary genres.

Other than reading my main loves are travel, music, baking, and writing when I have the motivation to do so.

I started this blog because I needed people to talk to about my favourite books. I read quickly and my friends were taking too long to get around to the same books I’d already read; and so Reading Every Night was born.

I’ve been blogging for over three years now and hope to continue blogging for longer still; posting a mixture of weekly features, discussions, books tags and awards, and of course book reviews.

Favourite Authors/Books/Series I Can’t Stop Gushing About:

  • V.E. Schwab
  • The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
  • Leigh Bardugo
  • Samantha Shannon
  • The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic
  • Marissa Meyer
  • The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
  • Sarah J. Maas
  • Rick Riordan
  • The Raven Cycle Series by Maggie Stiefvater

I’m happy to accept review quests from authors and publishers. You can check out my Review Policy for more information and my Review Index to get an idea of what books I have reviewed so far and what information my reviews usually contain.

You can also find me on social media at Goodreads, and there should be a Twitter account in the works that will be coming soon.

    1. Hi! And thanks 🙂
No not related to books or anything, I actually work at Marks and Spencer (an English fashion chain if you’re not from the UK) as an Allocator (I send out the clothes to all the UK stores in time for launching a new season)!
      😀

    1. Yep, lived in England my whole life. It’s really cold over here now, like really, really cold so I’d like to be somewhere else right this minute, maybe a beach somewhere warm 😀
But your comment really made me smile so thanks. And maybe you could visit England sometime. There’s plenty to see but I’d recommend coming in the Summer, like I said it’s freezing right now.
Yeah I need to make social media accounts, I keep procrastinating on them but it’s on my to-do list 😀

      1. I’ve been before! My dads from Newcastle so we’ve been to see some games (when Newcastle didn’t suck). I think we’re going again this year to buy stuff for our Etsy shop :]. AND YOU DO YOU, when it’s up I shall followww

      2. I’ve never been to Newcastle before, that’s too far north for me I’m actually closer to London.
Thank you 😀 my friends have told me to get an Instagram account so that’ll be first on my list, then I’ll probably have to get a Goodreads account for my blog so I can post my reviews there as well 🙂

      3. I have a Goodreads account for me, but it’s seriously disorganised now and I can’t be bothered to sort through everything. I need to create an account for my blog that I can post my reviews on and actually come up with a to-read list I can follow.

      4. Word I hear you. I stopped posting my reviews on Goodreads because I felt like they got lost in the abyss. But I like using it to keep track of what I read/want to read

      5. I definitely need something to keep track of what I read 😀 I’d be lost without Goodreads TBH
One weekend when I have the time I’ll just create an account for my blog and post all my reviews I have so far, and create a to-read list I’ll actually follow!
