Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books on my Spring TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books on my Spring TBR List.

There are so many books currently on my TBR list and all of them are books I’d like to get around to soon-ish, especially when you consider how long some of them have been on there. I’m normally not good at sticking to TBR lists given how I’m a mood reader, but this week’s Top Ten Tuesday theme I featured the books I definitely want to get around to ASAP, only time will tell whether I do or not.

Wing Jones by Katherine Webber

I saw Katherine speak about her book at the Dark Societies event she did with Stephanie Garber. Wing Jones sounded amazing, and I’m definitely excited to get started on this one soon.

Empress of a Thousand Skies by Rhoda Belleza

This was the February Fairy Loot book, so I have a gorgeous hardcover edition currently sitting on my bookshelves. I figured that was more than enough of a reason to add it to my TBR list.

I picked this book up one day on a whim solely because of the cover. I haven’t heard anything about it or seen any reviews yet but the blurb is more than interesting enough to catch my attention.

The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco

It seems like everyone has read and loved this book, honestly it’s been more hyped up in my mind than Labyrinth Lost was. Hopefully when I get around to The Bone Witch I’ll love it just as much as everyone else seems to have.

A Beauty and the Beast retelling by one half of the author duo who wrote my favourite sci-fi series? There was no doubt this was going to be a book I picked up the very second it was released.

I have been desperate for this book ever since it was announced, and the fact that the release date was pushed back by a few months only made me more desperate. Laini Taylor is one of my all-time favourite authors so my expectations for Strange the Dreamer are sky high.

Is anyone surprised to see this book on my list this week? With A Conjuring of Light and The Song Rising having already been released A Court of Wings and Ruin is now my most anticipated release of the year.

Release by Patrick Ness

Patrick Ness’s books are always at the top of my to-buy and to-read lists. I haven’t actually heard too much about Release, I was honestly surprised it was being released in May, but I do know I’ll likely love it as much as all his other books.

Inspired by Mrs Dalloway and Judy Blume’s Forever, Release is one day in the life of Adam Thorn, 17. It’s a big day. Things go wrong. It’s intense, and all the while, weirdness approaches…

The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich

I’ve never been a fan of love triangles, but there are always exceptions to every rule and The Love Interest feels like it may be that exception for me. Ever since I read the blurb this has been a highly anticipated release, and the reviews it already has are full of praise.

There is a secret organization that cultivates teenage spies. The agents are called Love Interests because getting close to people destined for great power means getting valuable secrets.

Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh

Another retelling but this time for Mulan, which I’ve never seen retold in a YA book before. I loved Renee Ahdieh’s first duology so I am so excited for Flame in the Mist to be released, I’m sure it will be just as amazing.
