The Playlist Shuffle Tag

I seem to have posted a lot about music in the last few weeks – there was my original Wordless Wednesday post, the TTT theme from a few weeks ago – it just seems fitting when music is probably my greatest love, even before reading. After all I would perfectly fine if I forgot my Kindle one day on a commute to work, but I wouldn’t be able to cope if I forgot my iPod.

The Playlist Shuffle Tag

I was tagged by Lauren at Wonderless Reviews. Thank you so much for the tag Lauren; everyone else should definitely check out her original post and while you’re there her blog as well. Lauren is such an amazing person, and definitely one of my favourite bloggers I’ve met through WordPress so go and give her some love.

The Rules:

  • List the first 10 songs that come on shuffle (no skipsies).
  • Then write your favourite lyric (or verse) from each song.
  • Tag/link others.

Paramore – Ain’t it Fun

“So what are you gonna do
When the world don’t orbit around you”

AWOLNATION – Sail

“This is how an angel dies
Blame it on my own sick pride
Blame it on my ADD baby”

Hedley – Anything

“A thousand disbelievers couldn’t keep me on the ground,
I’ve invented a momentum that’ll never slow me down,
I believe it ’cause I feel it, and I shout it out loud”

Ellie Goulding – Starry Eyed

“So we burst into colours, colours and carousels
Fall head first like paper planes in playground games
Next thing we’re touching
You look at me it’s like you hit me with lightning”

Bastille – Send Them Off

“Set me free from my jealousy
Won’t you exorcise my mind?
Won’t you exorcise my mind?
I want to be free as I’ll ever be
Exorcise my mind
Help me exorcise my mind”

Imagine Dragons – Second Chances

“I get older and life fades but you remain
Open up again I believe in second chances”

Paloma Faith – Mouth to Mouth

“I know it’s been so long
But boy you still turn me on
‘Cause tonight I want to
Make love like strangers”

Imagine Dragons – My Fault

“Is it my fault, is it my fault?
We’ve been missing each other”

OneRepublic – If I Lose Myself

“I woke up with the sun
Thought of all other people, places and things I’ve loved
I woke up just to see
Of all other faces you were the one next to me”

Jonas Blue feat. Dakota – Fast Car

“You got a fast car
I want a ticket to anywhere
Maybe we make a deal
Maybe together we can get somewhere”

albums-2

Last time I did this tag a few months ago I said that I was disappointed no Imagine Dragons or Bastille tracks made it, this time I was pleased to see at least one track from each band made it on my list. Unfortunately no Fall Out Boy this time around though.

    1. That’s all right! I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this tag! ❤️
And I’m glad you liked my picks for this one, Starry Eyed is still my favourite Ellie Goulding track too, same with Sail actually. That’s one of the songs on my Top 25 Played playlist on my iPod so that’s how much I listen to that one! 😀

  1. Great tag! I used to not being able to leave the house without my music, but this phase has gone and now my Kindle is the treasure in my bag, haha! Still, my ipod is never far. Love seeing Imagine Dragons and One Republic here! I’m thinking of using this tag for today, I was not supposed to write any posts because it’s “Commenting” day but it would be a nice change from the book tags I’ve been doing every week!

    1. Oh yes this one was so much fun. Honestly I’ve never really been able to leave the house without music ever since I got my first MP3 player when I was in high school. My Kindle is still my second love, honestly I wouldn’t like to leave the house without either!
Imagine Dragons is one of my all-time favourite bands, and I loved OneRepublic’s latest album, Native, (I haven’t gotten around to their newest album yet).
Ohh in that case I’ll definitely have to check out your songs for this tag! It’ll be interesting to see what’s on your iPod and yeah it is a nice change from book tags isn’t it? 🙂

      1. I can’t remember what life was like before the first MP3 players! 🙂 It’s definitely a good change from book tags, I’m starting to use the same books over and over again, I’m going to bore people to death, haha!

      2. Oh I had one of those CD walkmans, honestly having an MP3 player changed my life because it was so compact and had so many songs! 😀
I feel that way, I try and use new books for tags but there are always an odd few favourites that slip in here and there! 🙂

    1. Thanks so much Marie, and yeah this is such a fun tag as well especially given how much I listen to my iPod as well! 😀
Imagine Dragons is one of my all-time favourite bands, and I haven’t listened to many of Hedley’s songs but the ones I have I’ve loved so I guess I need to listen to more now! 🙂

    1. Thanks Lauren ❤ you're one of the loveliest people I've met through WordPress as well! 😀
Thanks again! 🙂 Imagine Dragons and Bastille are two of my all time favourite bands, and I really like Paramore, OneRepublic and Hedley as well. There are literally thousands of songs on my iPod though so this is just a small percentage of my music tastes! 😀
