Wordless Wednesday: Wanderlust

Wordless Wednesday is a new weekly tag created by Grace at Kimmie.gg. Each week there’s a new topic, unrelated to books, which will hopefully provide some insight into my life outside of reading.

Each week, I will post a topic for a Wordless Wednesday that you may answer in whatever fashion you may like. All you need to do is link back to Kimmie.gg in your post so that I can also read your content!

This week’s theme was Wanderlust and ever since I discovered Grace was making this a weekly tag and saw the topics she’d picked for each week this was the one I was the most excited for. I love travelling, one day I’d like to be able to say I’ve been to every continent and every country. I want to see everything there is to see and do everything there is to do and I’m not going to let anything stand in my way.

  1. Wow! These pictures just made me want to travel all around! They are sooo beautiful! โค
I haven't traveled that much yet. I have been to: London, quiet a few cities in Croatia, Vienna, Prague, (Though I do live in Vienna now…but I did travel to that city before actually moving there.) ๐Ÿ˜€ And what places do I want to travel to? Everywhere, basically. But on the top of my list: Italy, Greece and Ireland.

    1. It was the same with me when I was drafting this post, I wanted to go to all of them immediately.
Hopefully you’ll be able to travel more in the future then, but it sounds like you’ve been to some amazing places so far. Vienna is definitely on my list of places I want to go (I think me and my sister are thinking of going there next year actually!)
Italy is amazing, I think wherever you go you’ll love it, Greece is at the top of my list as well and I think Ireland would be interesting as well! ๐Ÿ˜€

      1. Vienna is really beautiful! ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you get to travel and see it! There is a possibility that I’ll go to Greece next year with my best friend. We were thinking of going together, but we don’t have any concrete plans yet. Still, only considering it makes me very happy! ๐Ÿ˜€

      2. I hope so too, nothing’s concrete yet but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Oh that would be amazing if you got to go, I’m sure it would be an amazing experience!
And yeah I know what you mean, even when a plan isn’t finalised yet the possibility of it is enough to make me very excited! ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. Beth! I love this post, you did such a great job with the topic, and I loved seeing these pictures. Although I did also feel pangs of jealousy that you’ve been to so many amazing places. Amsterdam and Prague must have been beautiful! Budapest and Vietnam are two great choices, and places I want to visit so dearly. My wanderlust has grown just by reading this post.

Thank you so much for participating! I really enjoyed reading this, and just staring at the pictures you have. There is just so many amazing things in this world, I hope one day I can visit most of them!

    1. Thanks so much Grace! I had so much fun with this one and ever since you announced all the topics this was the one I was the most looking forwards too.
Amsterdam and Prague are just amazing, I think Amsterdam is my all-time favourite city I’ve been to to date, and Prague is so full of history.
That’s all right, I really love taking part in this feature, I’m already planned for next week’s one!
Yeah I want to see the whole world, seriously everything there is out there I want to experience it for myself! ๐Ÿ˜€

      1. At least books help us travel in time and location, without ever leaving our seats! Nevertheless, traveling is always an amazing experience, and I’m just so glad to learn of a couple places you’ve been/want to go!

I’m so excite to read your post for next week! You always do such an amazing job with it ๐Ÿ™‚

And I feel you, I feel like I’ll never be satisfied until that day arrives…

      2. Oh yes I do love that about books, probably why I got into reading in the first place; the best way of travelling without leaving the comfort of home!
But yeah nothing beats travelling for real does it?
Thanks so much, I’m glad you like my posts for your weekly feature, I’ve have a great time coming up with them so far and I can’t wait for next week’s! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Your pictures are so amazing I want to go to all of those places right now. This is such a good idea for a meme. How do you know what the topic is every week? I haven’t noticed it in Kimmie’s post unless I’m not as observant as I think I am. ๐Ÿ™‚ I would definitely take part in this next week. Awesome idea!

    1. Thanks, and yeah I was feeling a very serious urge to drop everything and run to the nearest airport!
I’m loving this meme so far. There are actually topics picked for this, Kimmie’s commented below replying to yours with the links to the meme launch pages. I’ll just approve it now so you can see. She’s explained it there a lot better than I ever could! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. You know I’m going to say this but I’ll say this anyway: COME TO MELBOURNE.

I really, really want to go to Iceland and Prague! I’ve been to the other places you’ve mentioned you’ve been, but Iceland is definitely on my to-travel-list. If only it’s not super far (and super expensive)…

I also want to go to India and Budapest! I’ve been to Vietnam and it’s really, really lovely, though I was only there for four days and didn’t get to do much except visit a couple of war museums. That was pretty confronting and disturbing, but still very educational.

    1. Melbourne and Australia are high on my travel list but it’ll be a long journey so it’s something I’d need to plan in more detail than I do most of my holidays. Still one day, and hopefully soon as well!
Iceland and Prague are both amazing cities. There is so much history in Prague and Iceland is just stunning, the pictures don’t fully do it justice!
Vietnam is pretty much number one on my travel list at the moment, I’ve heard so many amazing things about the country and I just want to hop on a plane right this second. Actually I think it’s safe to say I just want to see the whole world!

      1. Yeah, I can understand that! My next trip to Europe is definitely going to be a planned affair too… and hopefully long because that flight fare is expensive and I should see as much as I can.

Yeah, that’d be right! Me too. ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. I was the same putting together this draft. I wanted to hop on a plane and visit all the places I was finish photos for! ๐Ÿ™‚
There are so many places to see in Europe and so many amazing cities too so I’m sure wherever you go will be amazing! ๐Ÿ˜€
