Wordless Wednesday: Soundtrack to My Life

Wordless Wednesday is a new weekly tag created by Grace at Kimmie.gg. Each week there’s a new topic, unrelated to books, which will hopefully provide some insight into my life outside of reading.

Each week, I will post a topic for a Wordless Wednesday that you may answer in whatever fashion you may like. All you need to do is link back to Kimmie.gg in your post so that I can also read your content!

This week’s theme was Songs of Your Life but I adapted it a little and called it Soundtrack of My Life. I wouldn’t say these are songs that relate to turning points in my life, more songs that, no matter how much time will pass, will always be favourites of mine. Asides from books music is one of the big loves of my life. In fact I possibly love music more than I love reading because if it comes down to it I would rather leave my Kindle at home than my iPod.

Imagine Dragons

Fall Out Boy

  1. I love your choices! Though I know most of the artists you’ve listed, I can’t say I know all of the songs, but after listening, I can see why these will be lifelong favorites of yours. I think a ton of songs popular artists produce don’t get the hype they need because there’s always a title track that people listen to. For example, I just listened to Preacher by One Republic and looooved it, however the only song out of the entire album that I knew about was Counting Stars.
Thanks for participating 🙂 I can’t wait for your post next week as well!

    1. Thanks Grace!
Yeah normally when I listen to albums I find a couple of songs I just love but because they’re not released they don’t get as much recognition. Imagine Dragons Warriors for example is my favourite of all their tracks but I don’t know if other people have listened to it as much as they would have Radioactive.
Preacher is amazing, in fact the whole of One Republic’s Native album is amazing! 😀
That’s all right, I had a great time with this tag and I can’t wait for next week’s one! 🙂

      1. Check out “Stay High”…it’s really good. I can identify with it because for a long time I did stay high…just to numb it all. It’s beautiful and haunting (in a way, because it gets stuck in your brain).

  2. Love this! Gives us a chance to infuse some non book related stuff about us into our blogs! Already added the creator of this tag. Florence + The Machine 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 probably would be among my most played for sure 😉

Great post, love the song selections 💕

    1. It’s a great tag idea, and yeah as much as I love reading it’s great to share some other interests I have as well. Are you thinking of taking part in next weeks Wordless Wednesday?
God I love Florence + the Machine, I will listen to at least one of her songs each day! 😀
      Thanks! ❤

  3. I am familiar with a lot of the artists on your list but not so much with the songs themselves. Recently I’ve been playing I Found by Amber Run and Losing Your Memory by Ryan Star. Plus a lot of Florence + The Machine.

    1. The songs are some of my favourites by then, why they made it onto my most played listed because I will listen to them on repeat! 🙂
I may check out those two artists then, I’m always looking for new songs, and same here, I’m always listening to something by Florence + the Machine!
