Waiting on Wednesday: Empire of Storms

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, which shines a light on eagerly anticipated upcoming releases.

This week my pick is;

Empire of Storms

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

Publisher: Bloomsbury Childrens

Release Date: 6th September 2016

Goodreads

The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those don’t.

As the kingdoms of Erilea fracture around her, enemies must become allies if Aelin is to keep those she loves from falling to the dark forces poised to claim her world. With war looming on all horizons, the only chance for salvation lies in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.

Aelin’s journey from assassin to queen has entranced millions across the globe, and this fifth instalment will leave fans breathless. Will Aelin succeed in keeping her world from splintering, or will it all come crashing down?

The cover for Empire of Storms has finally been revealed and I think it is my favourite of the series so far. After having the Throne of Glass series on my TBR list for so long I finally started the first book and from there fell in love with Celaena and Maas’s writing. Empire of Storms is easily one of my most anticipated releases for the second half of 2016 and I can’t wait to see how it carries on from Queen of Shadows.

So what does everyone think; is Empire of Storms a must on anyone elseโ€™s to-read list or are there any other books that you canโ€™t wait for to be released?

    1. See I thought Heir of Fire was a little slow, especially compared to the second book but oh god I LOVED Queen of Shadows, at the moment it is my favourite book of the whole series.
      I hope you get around to picking them up soon, and I hope you love them as well! And yes this is a brilliant cover isn’t it!?

  2. Is it september yet? I’m dying over here.
    But seriously how great is the UK/Aus cover? I love how each book has its own cover but they all look so awesome together. And of course, the story is really going into some exciting plot lines that I’m dying to read. Overall I’m just sitting here, counting down until Septembeโ€‹rโ€‹.

      I’m really excited to see where this book goes with the story as well, I feel after the ending of the fourth one there’s so many directions Maas could take the characters now!
