March Book Haul

As much as I love reading, and as much as I read in one month, it’s rare that I by so many books at any one time. So I thought I’d do a book haul for once.

March Book Haul

I went way over my budget for March, and I certainly brought a lot more than I thought I would because I went into Waterstones and just couldn’t resist some of the book sitting there on the shelves. I ended up with so many amazing books, some I already own on Kindle and couldn’t resist buying in paperback because they are so amazing, and some I haven’t yet read but have heard amazing things about.

Amazon

March Book Haul, #1

Most of these books, with the only exception being the Firebird series by Claudia Gray, I have already read and loved. Passenger is in the running for my favourite read of 2016, and alongside The Girl From Everywhere it is one of my favourite time travel books. The first two books of The Winner’s Trilogy I got for my Kindle after receiving an ARC of The Winner’s Kiss, but I ended up loving this series so much I had to get the whole trilogy in paperback form as well. I just couldn’t resist.

March Book Haul, #2

Sarah J. Maas is such an amazing author; I only wish I’d discovered her books earlier than I did. I’ve already pre-ordered Empire of Storms and A Court of Mist and Fury and I am so excited to get my hands on those books when they’re finally released. I am also planning on buying The Assassin’s Blade, the collection of Throne of Glass novellas, next month when I have money in my budget once again.

Waterstones

March Book Haul, #3

I hadn’t actually planned to buy any of these books but I was in Waterstones, just browsing, and honestly I couldn’t resist. There were so many copies of Lady Midnight on display and there was so much hype for it on WordPress that I honestly had to buy a copy, and after seeing The Winner’s Kiss for sale, a week before it was due to actually be released, I didn’t think twice before grabbing it. I’ve heard such great things about both An Ember in the Ashes and I’ll Give You the Sun that it was really just any excuse to buy them both.

NetGalley eARCs

March Book Haul, #4

I don’t tend to have many ARCs on my to-read list at any one time but these two I am really excited about. I have heard great things about A Fierce and Subtle Poison, and The Star-Touched Queen is one of my most-anticipated releases for May. I can’t wait to start both of them.

So there you have it, my insane book haul for this month. Yes, for me this is insane, I normally only buy four or five books a month to try and stick to a budget. Obviously during March I did not succeed but I can’t regret it, I have so many amazing books on my shelves now.

    1. Well I’d definitely highly recommend them all! I’m actually quite excited for The Star-Touched Queen; I haven’t seen any reviews for it yet so I’m going in with no preconceptions! But hopefully I’ll have my review up before the end of April πŸ˜€
Ohh I definitely need to join that club, especially after this past month!

      1. I think the mash up of those two clubs would just be The Bookworm club. Did we just go full circle? Bookworm buys a lot of books goes to a support club about buying too many books, then to a fangirling club then the clubs combined making a bookworm club about being a bookworm and we encourage bookworms to be bookworms so you go out and spend more πŸ˜€

      2. We have definitely come a full circle! And it perfectly describes my life as well; buy books, talk to people about buying too many books, see an amazing review on WordPress, fangirl over it, buy more books! In the end, I probably wouldn’t change anything, I love buying books, and when they arrive in my doorstep it’s the best!

      3. Yep definitely, when I’m out at work and know I have a parcel filled with books waiting for me at home it always makes me happy, and very excited! That feeling is probably why I buy so many books in the first place πŸ˜€

  1. AHH SO MANY BOOKS! And such a great reviewing month as well, go you! Super excited to know your thoughts about The Star-Touched Queen — that’s one of my most anticipated releases for 2016 and I’ve been hearing mixed things about it, so I’m looking forward to your very detailed breakdown.

    1. Yes I really did not stick to my budget last month for buying books, and thank you, I did think I got through more book/reviews than I normally would have in March.
Oh I completely agree, The Star-Touched Queen is one of my most-anticipated releases as well, I was super thrilled to get an ARC of it. I haven’t actually seen any reviews for it yet, kind of want to read it first before reading any others!

    1. Yes, it’s so much cheaper to get eBooks and then if I love the series I buy it in paperback so I have it on my shelves as well.
Oh god yes, A Thousand Pieces of You and Ten Thousand Skies Above You have such amazing covers. The stories inside are good as well based on the reviews I’ve read!

  4. Whoa this is such an amazing haul! So many pretty books 😍 I’ve had The Winner’s Curse and A Thousand Pieces of You on my shelf for over a year. I really need to read them. 1. Thanks Lauren πŸ™‚
I brought so many books this month but the best part was them actually arriving (the ones I brought from Amazon I mean). The Winner’s Curse is amazing, I would definitely recommended that series if you have it on your shelves already. I need to re-read A Thousand Pieces of You soon but I would definitely recommend The Girl From Everywhere too.
I can’t wait to start A Fierce and Subtle Poison. There are so many good reviews for it, I hope I enjoy it just as much!
