Waiting on Wednesday: A Court of Mist and Fury

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, which shines a light on eagerly anticipated upcoming releases.

This week my pick is;

A Court of Mist and Fury

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

Publisher: Bloomsbury Childrens

Release Date: 3rd May 2016

Goodreads

Feyre survived Amarantha’s clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can’t forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin’s people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.

With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas’s masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.

I very late jumping on the Sarah J. Maas bandwagon but I recently read A Court of Thorns and Roses and loved it. It is the best fairytale retelling I’ve read in a long time and I cannot wait for the second book in the series. So what does everyone think; is A Court of Mist and Fury a must on anyone else’s to-read list or are there any other books that you can’t wait for to be released?

      1. Rick Riordan books are quite hard to get into at first (esp. Heroes of olympus series) but once you get the hang of it, then the rest will follow.

      1. Glad to know I am not the only one haha. Although I am still not reading the series yet (the library wait is looonnggg). But it seems everyone on tumblr, at least who have to do with books, is just drooling over the series.

      2. No, I’m sure there’s lots of people, there are some amazing books within the genre as well! I started this series late as well but mainly because I just wasn’t in the mood to start ACoTaR but now I’m kicking myself for waiting so long! I am definitely one of the people drooling over the series 😀
