Waiting on Wednesday: Tell the Wind and Fire

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, which shines a light on eagerly anticipated upcoming releases.

This week my pick is;

Tell the Wind and Fire

Tell the Wind and Fire by Sarah Rees Brennan

Publisher: Clarion Books

Release Date: 5th April 2016

In a city divided between opulent luxury in the Light and fierce privations in the Dark, a determined young woman survives by guarding her secrets.

Lucie Manette was born in the Dark half of the city, but careful manipulations won her a home in the Light, celebrity status, and a rich, loving boyfriend. Now she just wants to keep her head down, but her boyfriend has a dark secret of his own—one involving an apparent stranger who is destitute and despised. Lucie alone knows the young men’s deadly connection, and even as the knowledge leads her to make a grave mistake, she can trust no one with the truth.

Blood and secrets alike spill out when revolution erupts. With both halves of the city burning, and mercy nowhere to be found, can Lucie save either boy—or herself?

Celebrated author Sarah Rees Brennan weaves a magical tale of romance and revolution, love and loss.

The first series by Sarah Rees Brennan I read was the Lynburn Legacy books; I loved her writing style, her characters and the magic she wove into her stories. Then when I saw she had a new series coming out it obviously went straight onto my to-read list. So what does everyone think; is Tell the Wind and Fire a must on anyone else’s to-read list or are there any other books that you can’t wait for to be released?

  1. That cover is so… slick. And beautiful. And the synopsis sounds intriguing too. I haven’t read anything by this author before, but this one sure has perked up my curiosity! Great pick, Beth- and thanks for spotlighting this book!

    1. Thanks 😀 this book has been in my to-read list for a while now. I completely agree, it has an amazing cover and the blurb is enough to convince me the story itself will be just as good 🙂
      I’ve read Brennan’s Lynburn Legacy series and I thought that was brilliant so I’m very excited to see what she comes out with next.
      Thanks for the link, I’ll definitely check out your WoW post.
