Waiting on Wednesday: Reign of Shadows

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, which shines a light on eagerly anticipated upcoming releases.

While Jill is taking a break from Waiting on Wednesday until the new year I thought I’d still upload my pick for this week…which is;

Reign of Shadows

Reign of Shadows by Sophie Jordan

Publisher: Harper Teen

Release Date: 9th February 2016

Seventeen years ago, an eclipse cloaked the kingdom of Relhok in perpetual darkness. In the chaos, an evil chancellor murdered the king and queen and seized their throne. Luna, Relhok’s lost princess, has been hiding in a tower ever since. Luna’s survival depends on the world believing she is dead.

But that doesn’t stop Luna from wanting more. When she meets Fowler, a mysterious archer braving the woods outside her tower, Luna is drawn to him despite the risk. When the tower is attacked, Luna and Fowler escape together. But this world of darkness is more treacherous than Luna ever realized.

With every threat stacked against them, Luna and Fowler find solace in each other. But with secrets still unspoken between them, falling in love might be their most dangerous journey yet.

With lush writing and a star-crossed romance, Reign of Shadows is Sophie Jordan at her best.

Another fairy tale inspired book being released in 2016 which is obviously on my to-read list. While I haven’t read any of Sophie Jordan’s other books this one has piqued my interest. So what does everyone think; is Reign of Shadows a must on anyone else’s to-read list or are there any other books that you can’t wait for to be released?

    1. It does sound really good. There are so many books being released next year that sound absolutely amazing, and Reign of Shadows is very close to the top of my list.
      Thanks for link, I’ll definitely check out your WoW post 🙂
